Like many Americans, I watched the post-9/11 era with growing alarm. National unity gave way to division, endless war, eroded trust and the systematic wasting of human talent on a historic scale.
For over two decades I worked quietly through caregiving, reflection and relentless study to understand the deeper forces at play.
The conclusion was unmistakable:
OUR... old systems are no longer sufficient.
We are not here to patch the old world.
