For 25 years, the United States has been trapped in an Endless War. Some battles were huge and required 'Boots on the Ground' like the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. As those types of high-profile military engagements ran out of steam, for years...
The Drone Wars took center stage.
All together we called it The War on Terror. And it changed us. Somehow, we became a people who just wanted to fight. And we took that fighting spirit into Congress and we drew new battlelines. Left v. Right. And then we assassinated Iranian General Qasem Soleimani. It was a "flawless precision strike" against a "vicious, horrible human being". -DJT
Drone strikes became an ongoing way of life and so did our white-hot political fights and when Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine we were back in the major war business again. Behind the frontlines this time. And then Hamas attacked Israel and we were back at war in The Middle East and as a matter of course it became time for The Iran War to begin.
All this 'endless war' has drained American blood and treasure and exploded our national debt and assaulted our national spirit while spreading bloody violence, division, distrust, and darkness across the globe.
Military power has its limits. There are more "terrorists" today than on 9.11. Authoritarian regimes persist. Global income inequality has worsened. And humanity now suffers the widespread proliferation of our most deadly weapons... nuclear, drone, AI-guided weapons systems, and bioweapons... making continued reliance on war as a 'solution'... an unacceptable existential risk.
And America is no longer a high functioning democracy.
It's time to end ALL the wars. It's time to end all the fighting.

My Fellow Americans we are letting Osama Bin Laden Win.
At its most basic level September 11th was a very "dark disruption". Back in 2001 America there was no way a terrorist organization or even a powerful nation state could destroy America. What Osama bin Laden and Al-Qaeda did on 9.11 was inject The American Soul with a highly contagious disease that has been spreading from one American to another for two and a half decades.
This "disease" brings out the worst in us. This disease is destroying America from the inside out and doing for Al-Qaeda what they could never have done on their own.
It’s been 25 years since 9.11.
We were one nation before the September 11th attack and since we invaded Iraq… we became a different nation. Our new normal isn’t normal at all. We can all agree on that.

In May/June 2024 I drove from Massachusetts to Syracuse N.Y. and then down through rural Pennsylvania into Virginia and eventually into the mountains of North Carolina looking for a new place to live.
I spent weeks in small town America.
I wasn’t studying ‘swing voters’…
I was looking for new friends and neighbors.
And I saw things that quite frankly scared the Hell out of me.
Since 9.11… instead of understanding that with our incredible new technology… Modernity Emerged... America’s civilian political leadership just made more and more war and trauma and more and more Darkness.
Our leaders never prepared US for this difficult transition into modern life. What OUR politicians did was divide US with one ‘wedge issue’ after another.
Americans everywhere were not and still are not prepared for how expensive Modernity really is. I’m not talking ‘Inflation’ expensive. What I’m talking about is how expensive it is to survive in Modernity let alone thrive.
What scared the Hell out of me?
Everywhere I look on this Odyssey of mine, one way or another I see people being destroyed by… The DARK.
All races. All income levels. In the country, suburbs and cities in America people are being destroyed by The DARK. As The Dark manifests and spreads through modern technology.
TRUE. The well-off had little financial difficulty making the financial transition into Modernity. But The Dark spared no one with The Rise of Darkness, Division, Hate & War…
And The Opioid Crisis…
